The fourth graders finsihed up their Animoto vidoes telling about a style of house from the book If You Lived Here - Houses Around the World. They did a great job collecting pictures off the internet that related to the information they gathered and putting them in their video.
The next presentation style that they will learn is Haiku Deck. They will be working in groups to create a presentation about Pasta for Pennies a service projec the fourth grade will be organizing for the school. Each fifth grade class completed their Comic Life papers about cell parts. It was great to see how creative the students could be using different fonts, text boxes, and pictures. They wil be put together to create a graphic novel about the cell. For the next few library lessons, the fifth graders will be learning about the Dewey Decimal system and nonfiction books. They will discover why the system was set up and work in groups to explore a section and "introduce" it to the class. |
